A softer approach to matte lipstick

Traditional matte liquid lipsticks are often designed around maximum opacity and a sharply defined finish. Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur takes a slightly different approach.

The lightweight liquid formula can be applied at full intensity, but its texture also lends itself to blending. Tapping the colour into the lips and softening the edges creates the diffused effect behind the Lip Blur name, giving colour without requiring a perfectly precise lip line.

This versatility makes it particularly useful if you like matte colour but want more control over how polished or relaxed the finished lip looks.

Pillow Talk, with more depth

Pillow Talk Blur is a deeper, more intense interpretation of Charlotte Tilbury's signature Pillow Talk colour family.

Rather than the softer nude-pink associated with the original Pillow Talk lipstick, this shade brings greater rosy-pink depth to the lips while retaining the neutral quality that makes the Pillow Talk palette so wearable.

Apply a thin layer and diffuse it with a fingertip for a softer stain-like effect, or build the colour when you want the shade to appear richer and more defined.

Why hyaluronic acid is included

Hyaluronic acid is better known in skincare, where it is used as a humectant to help attract and retain moisture.

Its inclusion in a matte lip formula is particularly relevant because matte textures can sometimes emphasise dryness and fine lines. Here, it forms part of the formula's approach to creating a smoother, more comfortable feel while maintaining the desired soft-matte appearance.

It does not turn the lipstick into a lip treatment, but it helps bridge the gap between the appearance of a traditional matte and the more comfortable textures now expected from modern lip colour.

Apply directly to clean lips using the applicator.

For a defined matte lip, follow the natural lip line before filling in the centre with colour.

For the characteristic blurred effect, apply a smaller amount through the centre of the lips and gently tap the colour outwards with a fingertip, keeping the edges soft.

The colour can be layered to increase intensity.
